Not sure why, but it sounds fun and this page was something I did while on lunch break at work. I think I have some fun ideas going and hope to get a more solid idea soon. Tim Burton kind of looks like Alice Cooper at the moment, so I will need to work on that :P.

Lunch Break

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 154px; height: 200px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_PAIBet5vBaQ/StfgxMFIHlI/AAAAAAAAANw/y4my_zUvLo8/s200/edward006.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5393026214460399186" />
Didn't feel like eating lunch today so I drew Edward again. I totally messed up his face and he looks like a 65 year old Pauly Shore doing Cos Play. Obviously I couldn't erase since it was all in pen, but it was fun to draw anyway. To be honest, I hate parades so I took my sketchbook with to draw people who were watching the parade. It was actually kind of cold today which is unusual. The past couple weeks have been muggy and hot, but I think the rain we had on Saturday cooled everything down. Or maybe a cold front from the north or something...anyway, here are some drawings I did.

Spy House

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 252px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_PAIBet5vBaQ/Skg6jgH61HI/AAAAAAAAALo/gRyi9-6NoSo/s320/spy+house001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5352592538722817138" />
I seem to like drawing at this coffee shop near the college I graduated from. I know my drawing teachers would be upset for lack of structure and composition, but my illustration teachers might like it due to the imperfections and the way the mistakes in the line work can give character to the people I am drawing. Sometimes I totally screw up and get the proportions way off, but sometimes it looks believable and it starts to work for me. I need to work on distorting reality more because I am always struggling to make things look real, but that's a fight I can't win...nor would want to anymore. Drawing imperfections and exaggerations is more fun...now I just need to get better at it.

Shoes

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 211px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_PAIBet5vBaQ/SfptusSN6XI/AAAAAAAAALQ/_zxqqw3ZzTE/s320/shoes006.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5330693757875382642" />
Went to a coffee shop the other day and was listening to some strange conversations. Had to see the four faces of course. I didn't get the depth in this drawin that I wanted so I am not too happy with it, but I kind of like the faces. On the bottom is supposed to be the tiny barbershop quartet that performed there the day I was drawing.
